Queer AF fashion show to celebrate Worcester’s LGBTQ+ community with designs and performances by local artists (MassLive)
“It’s a powerful celebration of community,” Croke said. “The folks that attend and participate are really finding community and building their relationships, which is so empowering and joyful and which is something that we need in days that can be pretty bleak sometimes with all the hate out in the world.”
Croke described the event as the “Met Gala of Massachusetts,” as it has a focus on the most wonderful and out-there fashion of the community. The models who will be walking the runway will be a diverse snapshot of local residents, with the goal of “shattering” stereotypes of beauty being a certain size, weight, height, color and look, Croke said.
